What is it called when you hunt in a group?

What is it called when you hunt in a group and one person walks a line and pushes the deer towards the other people coming in from the other end of the field. I don't hunt so I have no idea how to explain it. Just curious what it is called.

  1. Pushing or driving, but I also hear dogging where I hunt because they use dogs a lot and just use the term loosely.
  2. They call it driving a woods....I think it's the most dangerous type of hunting you can do.
  3. It's called a deer drive. It works pretty well; I do it every year with my family over Thanksgiving weekend if we haven't filled our tags yet. It does require some knowledge of the land and knowing where the deer are likely to go.
  4. it's called "driving or pushing" the woods and its dangerous because you are on the other side from the shooters so if you dont plan it right, you are right behind the target
  5. around midwest Wisconsin, it is called a 'Drive"
  6. In Manitoba Canada they call it "Party Hunting", in the 2008 Manitoba Hunting Guide.
