  1. * Ebay lots of them on there New or Used.* Save $$$$$.*
  2. Go with number 2. Larger knives are harder to handle and basically just too big for the job you're trying to do sometimes.
  3. Survival knives tend to be a joke. No hunter really uses one of those. They are for kids and guys who are wanna be's. Here's what to look for in a good knife. Carbon steel is best for taking and keeping a sharp edge but they will rust so you need to keep a coat of oil on them. You will see stainless steel knives, there are numerous variates of stainless. The cheap stainless knives are hard to sharpen, bend easy and are inferior to higher quality steels. Look for blades marked 440c at minimum, the blades marked "surgical" and 440 are usually just for looks. For hunting purposes a skinning style that is 4 to 5 inches works well, anything bigger becomes cumbersome when cleaning game. Good luck.
  4. id get 5
  5. If you have to choose one of those knifes go for one or three, never get a hollow handle knife, there's a good chance that they will break there if too much for is one the knife, you want a full tang blade, meaning that the blade is one solid piece of metal and runs into the handle. My advise, go surplus, like this.http://www.campingsurvival.com/noname15.html or http://www.campingsurvival.com/gipilsurknif.html. idk why there's a price difference but there is between the two. There the same knife. for a survival knife you want it to be high carbon steel or harden stainless steel for strength and able to sharpen and keep a point, either a drop-point or a clip-point blade tip and a saw back, like the knife in the link. a U.S.A.F Pilot Survival Knife.
  6. Jesus, Junior!!! How many times are you going to ask this friggin' question!? Just get one and move on!
  7. Those all look like pretty decent knives for the price. As you already know, you get what you pay for. I have to admit, I own a few cheapies myself. Harbour Freight Tools sells them around here for about $8. One of the best survifal knives I ever saw, years before the Rambo movies came-out, was the Marine Corps 7 inch fighting knife by KaBar. (Get the KaBar and not the Camillus. The KaBar is heavier.) Look around locally and see if any sport shops sell the same things to save on shipping costs. Like I said, my local Harbour Freight store sells them and they are ok for the $8.
